Some local authorities notify Land Registry via PHLAMs@landregistry.gov.uk of new properties and changes of numbering/naming etc. However, it should be noted that property titles will not be amended as a result of this notification. The property owner will need to make a specific application for the change to the title and pay the appropriate fee. SNN Officers should make property owners / occupiers aware of this when making applications to change property numbering and naming.
